Delete your account and data

Your data, your call. Here is how to delete it, from the app or by asking us.

Delete your account from the server

  1. Open Bani and go to Settings.
  2. Open Data & privacy.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

This phone's account is deleted from the server and the phone leaves the family. What you logged stays with the rest of the family, without your name. If it is the family's last phone, everything the family kept on the server is deleted.

Delete all data from the phone

In the same place, Delete all data on this phone deletes every child, entry, photo and setting of Bani on the phone. It can't be undone, so export first if you want a copy.

Can't open the app?

Write to us from your account's email address to hello@bani.co.il, with the subject "Delete my account". We will delete the account and everything tied to it on the server within 30 days at the latest, and let you know when it is done.

What is deleted and what stays

  • Deleted: the account (email, and with Google also name and photo), the link to the family, and if it is the family's last phone, all entries and photos on the server.
  • Stays: what is on the phone itself until you delete it, and what is in the phone's backup by its own settings. Technical crash reports, which hold no name or entries, delete themselves after a limited time.
